Chefs in the City - 2010

Restaurant & Catering Victoria, in conjunction with Crown Melbourne Limited and Meat & Livestock Australia, is pleased to provide the opportunity for Victorian regional and Tasmania members to participate in "Chefs in the City 2010", an annual initiative providing apprentices with the chance to broaden their industry experience.
Successful apprentices will be invited to be guests of Restaurant & Catering Victoria, Crown Melbourne Limited and Meat & Livestock Australia to participate in one of three 'experiences' in Melbourne.
All 'experiences' are three days long and will include:
- A two-day practical work placement within two of Crown's renowned restaurants;
- A day preparing for and learning from a major industry event;
- A tour of Crown's kitchens and broader food & beverage operations; and
- Dinner at a Crown restaurant with Walter Wagner, Executive General Manager Food & Beverage with senior representatives of Crown Limited, Meat & Livestock Australia and Restaurant & Catering Victoria.
The 'experience' dates for 2010 are:
Experience 1 14 to 17 March 2010 - coinciding with Melbourne Food & Wine Festival
Experience 2 1 to 4 August 2010 - coinciding with Restaurant & Catering Victoria Awards
Experience 3 24 to 27 October 2010 - coinciding with National Restaurant & Catering Australia Awards
