The changes introduced by the Fair Work Act 2009 will impact on all restaurants, cafes and catering
businesses in Victoria.

you need to manage your business under the new workforce legislation and transitional arrangements.
This session will cover a range of matters related to the Modern Award, including:


• Interpreting the Restaurant Industry Award and Hospitality Industry (General) Award;

• How the monetary and technical elements of modern Awards vary from the pre-reform equivalents;

• The interaction of the modern Awards with the National Employment Standards; and

• An explanation of the complex transitional arrangements that may apply to your business.
