President
Matteo Pignatelli
Matteo has owned and operated Matteo's since 1994. The restaurant has been awarded a minimum of one hat in the Age Good Food Guide every year since 1996.


Vice President
Victoria Wilson
Currently one of the directors at Lamaro's, Victoria (or Vic as she much prefers) skated past a medical career to pursue her burning passion for food and cooking. Her experience includes working for the likes of 'the Donald' (Trump) at Mare Largo and the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Gabriel Gate, The Mansion Group and The Mathis Group.


Vice President
Frank Wilden

Frank has owned award-winning restaurants and cafes in Sydney and Melbourne during the last 19 years. He has recently sold his interest in the one-hat restaurant Oyster Little Bourke (www.oysterlittlebourke.com.au) and is currently negotiating to open another Melbourne venue. For the last few years he has sat on the Tourism Victoria Food & Wine Council, City of Melbourne Hospitality Advisory Board and the Restaurant & Catering Association of Victoria Executive Council, of which he is currently vice-president."


Treasurer
Richard Harper

Richard Harper is currently Senior Operations Analyst for T.G.I. Friday's Asia Pacific. This role encompasses analysis and implementation in every area of the business, including setting business metrics and measurement tools, supply negotiation, I.T./ project management and H.R./Workplace Relations. He hopes to be involved in policy direction and decision making in all these areas as part of the Executive Council.

 

Ros Harvey
Ros is best known for starting Epicure Catering and has owned and operated many small businesses over the past twenty five years. Ros currently has interests in The Grand Richmond, Zinc @ Fed Sq, Whitehall Guesthouse, Oceanic Apartments and the Flinders Motel


Walter Wagner 
Has over 40 Years of Experience in the hospitality industry and is presently employed as Executive General Manager, Food & Beverage at Crown, Walter is responsible for the Foodand Beverage Division consisting of 48 restaurant and bars, which includes the prestigious Palladium at Crown and Studio 3. Walter's accolades include,the International Food and Beverage Forum's Restauranteur of the year Award in 2008, The French Ministry of Agriculture's Chevalier de l'Ordre du Merit Agricole for his contribution to the development of the French Cullinary Arts and the Australian Institute of Hospitality Management's Manager of the Year award in 1998.

 

Olivier Normandin
Owner/operator and sommelier of "Chez Olivier" in Greville Street, Prahran, Olivier is originally from Bordeaux in France. He is a strong believer in providing the highest level of hospitality to his consumers, aiming to make them feel at home in his venue. He will apply the same dedication to the RCAV for the year to come.

 

Eddie Muto
Owns 5 Restaurant/bars and live band venues such as Terra Rosa, EQ Cafe/Bar & World Restaurant, and employees over 150 staff. 

 

Leslye Thiess
Is the co-owner of Emu Inn Restaurant, Bed & Breakfast and Wine Centre in Heathcote, Central Victoria, and has owned businesses in regional victoria over the last 10 years. This is Leslye's second term on the RCV Council.

 

Lorraine Young
Lorraine has over thirty years experience in Hospitality, Conference Management and  Events, Over the past three decades, Lorraine has held key positions within the  Hospitality industry.The highlight of Lorraine's career was to co-ordinate a dinner for Pope John Paul 11 and the Cardinals of the Pacific Rim in Papua New Guinea 1995. Her strong operations and commercial background is reflected in peer recognition over the years. She won Catering Consultant of the year WA 2001 from RCIA (Restaurant Caterers Industry Association) and played a role in attaining the prestigious industry award the inaugural WA Gold Plate Caterers award 2000. Lorraine is currently employed by Lindenderry Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsular.

 

Rod Barbey
In 25 years, Rod Barbey has owned two restaurants, featured regularly in the Good Food Guide and travelled overseas as a guest chef. His latest venture B.Coz in up market Hawthorn East opened in 1996 and four years ago raised the bar in the organic restaurant scene by switching to a 100% organic menu. This means all the ingredients served on B.Coz's menu are produced totally free of chemicals and any form of genetic engineering.

 

Mark Haynes

Group Executive Chef, Marriner Events with over 10 years of experience hosting events of all shapes and sizes across the chain of Marriner Theaters events.

 

 

Stephen Mercer

Stephen Mercer has more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry. Beginning a cooks apprenticeship at the Regent Hotel in Melbourne in 1986, Stephen went on to win many awards during his four year training. While based in London in 1990 Stephen earned third place in the British Young Chef of the Year.

 

Returning to Australia, Stephen worked as soux chef at Jacques Reymond's Restaurant in Windsor, where for two years he headed the kitchen of ten chefs in one of Melbourne's most awarded restaurants.

 

In 1997 Stephen, with his wife Ute, opened Mercer's Restaurant in Eltham, where they continue to run the region's most prestigious dinning room.
